You should fill out a form with the Ombudsman. Just google for it. They should help you with your case.
Is your NC cleared? Have you taken an infopass to confirm your biometrics and NC is all clear? There have been cases where fingerprinting was done but it wasn't reflected in the case status.
I was very disappointed at infopass five months ago for 140. The person did not even know the difference between EB2 and EB3. So, I am reluctant to waste any further time. My job keeps me traveling out of town 3 days a week.
Fingerprinting for my EAD was in June08, spouse and daughter in Sep07. Is there a separate Biometrics required for 485? How do I find out about NC clearance? Thanks for your help.

Unconfirmed sources indicate that the Senate may table this bill earlier than expected. Since there is the nightmarish Sensenbrenner border protection bill that will come up with the comprehensive immigration reform legislation, it appears that the pro-immigration forces may have to energize their forces and start working on the critical immigration legislation.

Instead of fighting EB3 or EB2, can we throw up this idea -
Whatever be the priority date - whether EB2 or EB3, a person should submit proof of filing Income Tax from the time they were in US. This way a person who came in 2001 and filed for labour in say 2002 under EB3 - will have higher priority (provided he/she submits Tax filing proof for 8 years) than a person under EB2 with 2006 priority date and filed taxes only for say -4 years. (or the same person who moved from EB3 to EB2 can also benefit from this) i.e. the priority should be determined based on how much a person has contributed to US economy. For the Govt. to generate some money, all GC applicants can be asked to pay a small fee(say $100 per applicant) to IRS to get proof of filing income tax returns.
Just my 2 cents.

Does that mean, they cannot file for a GC, while on H1? Also, as consulting would be severely restricted, how many of the H1s will be able to find Full-Time Jobs?

Since you have negotiated 70:30 before joining, you must have agreed to paying H1b Fee. And yours is an H1 transfer and you new how this business works and signed the contract!

As you all know, they ask me to sign their contract in which its mention that if i leave their company before 1 year then i need to pay them 15k. Thy also charge me 3k for my H1-B which i am still paying everymonth from my paycheck and we have 70/30. In just six months i am so much fed up with them. These people are so rude...always show their arrogance over phone. I have no libarity to find job by myself. They always looking for higher pay rate sp that their big money tummy get filled up.and i also feel that they didnt told me the right pay rate for the project i am working on right now.
I really want to leave them, Even before 12 months. Is there any importance of that contract letter i signed with them?. Can they Sue me? What are my options? Please suggest me.....i am in stress.

It appears that you are cracking a joke, but I cannot stop from replying to your post. Why are you asking God to save IV? For the things we cannot do or for the things we dcon't understand, why do we always have to bring in 'God' in the picture? Can't we even crack a joke without brining in God?
I am just trying to prevent world war III on these forums. Thats why my request for not referring "God'. We will all be much more happier funnier and peaceful if we try not to bring in 'God' in the mix.

Hmm, that sounds cool - consolidating the qualifications into a huge stack to make an impact. I second that.
This was discussed before and I cannot find it now..but here is an extension of the degrees idea.
1. Get everyone involved in the GC process to make a copy of their degrees/ qualifications/ certifications/ patents/ papers/ publications/ etc
2. Format it into standard size (perhaps A4)
3. Get a stamp on each of those sheets that says 'TRASH' or something else - maybe 'REVERSE BRAIN DRAIN' or 'KEEP TALENT IN THE US' - we can work that out.
4. Get each State Chapter to create a binder/ maybe more if we can get enough participation.
5. We can submit a copy of that to local congressman and senators. We can also put all states together and send that to the White House, perhaps.
This will take a lot of coordination from all state chapter...but it is doable.
Any thoughts???

I agree, It's not worth investing in India and going through all the legal hassles when it comes to getting it back.
I myself invested a small amount there 2 years ago, which has grown quite a bit but I'm not sure if and how I can get it here.
One thing I'm doing is that whenever myself or my family goes to India, We don't take much money with us from here. We just spend from whatever we already have in India. My brother is a joint account holder in my savings account with HDFC. I just sell some stocks and transfer that money to our HDFC account, he withdraws money and hands it over to us when we reach there.
Whatever you earn in India, spend in India :)

As another member of Austria has pointed out, if something has to be in a regional language, as a courtesy, provide english translation as well. Talking about your peers: I am sure you don't communicate with your Chinese, Polish & American peers in your regional language.
