He wants assurance that AC21 works fine and he will not have any issues.
I can only say - AC21 protects you, but cannot guarantee the ride will be smooth.

I had bumps on my way with RFE and sorted out with my attorney.
All I am asking is in general for every one who are on this I-485 (freeway).
I would personally prefer paying tolls and had a smooth ride, but thats not an option for me.

go to DOl website and peruse the different Job Classifications and then see if any job responsibility for a particualr job Code fall under Job Zone 5 - whcih may be close to the kind of duties u perform...and try to convince ur manager and then ur lawyer.

I have lived in Nevada before. I think in that state and many other western states (where guns laws are more liberal) you have to have passport, I-94 and utility bills proving you have lived in NV for 6 months. That's it. You don't need hunting license to get a gun license.
Here is the biggest irony:
IN order to own a gun, FBI needs only 2 days to check your background.
IN order to get 485 approved, FBI takes months or years to do a background check.
I guess green-card is a more lethal weapon than a handgun.

Does any one know how many visa# have been used for 2009 quota?.
Sept dates may advance and some lucky ones are sure to benefit --but for their attempt to use the remainder of visa #s in fiscal year09. Now since most cases are pre-adjudicated hopefully they won't pick up randomly

I-94 form does not have any such thing.. But DS-156 and 157 might have.. so if the guy goes and does not apply for a visa he shud be fine i think...

Tina, my wife has the exact same issue. Pl advise. She is workng on H1 but getting delayed pay and paystubs and no W2 for 2006 since she dd not have SSN until feb 2007. To be safe, she wants to apply for H4 in Chennai although she still has valid H1. have 2 questions.'
1. can we fix a web appointment thru VFS for H4 visa stamping for her, even though she is on H1 right now and does not have H4 I797? I will add he as my dependent, since I am doing my H1 renewal as well and my case is strong
2. will they ask for her h1 paystubs and W2s if she is applying for H4 in chennai? Hopefully not. she has an expired H4 visa so she cannot re-enter on H4 visa.
3. also is it possible to travel from Atlanta or nearby to chennai without getting transit visa since we might not have time and aretravelling on expired visas. any short routes airlines you know?(singapore does not need transit visas?)even european cities that dont ask for transit visas will be fine.

This is not true. The Indian citizenship rules were changed sometime in 2003 so that children are not eligible citizenship if the birth was not registered within 1 year or if the child has taken some other passport. These children can get Indian citizenship only after attaining 18 years and renouncing the foreign citizenship.
I think like many Indian government rules, the OCI rules have not been thought out properly.
But within a year you can register a birth and get Indian citizenship, right? Whats stopping you from registering birth within a year?

As OBAMA is going to have meeting this monday it will clear lots of things for us.
Biggest one is if there will be a CIR or not ? if yes then what is time frame.
if he signals yes for CIR discussion ( I am not saying passing ) then all these bills will be crap. and we should start lobby and advocay. If he doesnot think for CIR for year or two then we can push for this one as we will not have any agenda left. ( Except same and simmilar job )
