If my priority date is retrogressed at the time of processing my EAD and AP, will USCIS keep the EAD and AP on hold? Or will they process EAD and AP and hold the I485?

what are the ramifications if
1. I apply for i-485 now.
2. get married and bring spouse on h4 and she remains on h4
and my I485 is approved before the PD is current so spouse is out of status for a short while before she can apply for AOS?
my case is EB2; PD is july 2006.

My interview is scheduled on 22nd Aug but not received letter yet.
email the consulate. I heard that they are very prompt in replying.

Guru, read the article before adressing the typical indian mentality...typical indian mentality of not reading the article in its context :p (i am kidding...)
The issue not about calling us Anchors, its about the scare tactics to imply that if GC is issued to an EB family it automatically implies that he/she will bring hordes to US via family sponsorship...furthermore it implies that US will be overrun my immigrants because of HR 5882. They are scaring people to create an issue out of a non issue and scuttle a bill. Considering the resources these guys have...it does change something for us if they succed in derailing the bill.
Furthermore using the term anchor connects us to a different issue where americans are more apt to get angry...anchor babies was used during the CIR debate to express a situation where illegals would have babies in US. We on the other hand have come here legally and are helping with the US economy..i hope you understand

If you take your I140 approval to NJ DMV, They will get you driving license renewed. Not sure about timing. But one of my friends got 3 years license on based of I-140 approval.

I applied for EAD and AP renewals concurrently on May 28th and sent following support docs for AP.
1. 2 photos.
2. old AP copy
3. I-485 copy
4. Passport biometric pages
5. EAD copy
FP appnt on June 23rd.
AP Approved e-mail on June 23rd.
My wife's Receipt was just 10 nos difference but she hasn't got it yet.

Exactly what happens when thousands of people contact senators instead of one fax from one organization with one point of contact just so that if some one actually calls back from the senator’s office we at least have some one who could explain the situation in a way that makes sense?
There is another side to that coin, Senators will not be swayed on an issue unless it directly affects a constituent of theirs. AILA has fax and mail campaigns and so do anti-immigrant organizations such as NumbersUSA who according to their organization last week in only 3 days claim to have sent 120K faxes! IMHO one fax will not cut it, a hard copy letter with every single member's name signed to it would be great but picture the logistics with only 2 days to act. I again refer to AILA, AILA has sent letters (see my earlier post referring to the links) but also urges the public and pro-immigrant groups to contact congress enmasse with content that they provide. Another person I know; he had H-1b and was working for some motels (he specifically told me he did IT work and wasn't working as a clerk and the company was a holding company with many motels). His case was transferred to local office. Local office called him and stated they wanted him to come to office next day. When he went they asked him why he was listed as an account signatory on the motels bank account. They thought he wasn't doing h-1b work and was doing unauthorized work.
My employer has made me an account signatory in one of his other company(a sister company of my H1company), so i can take the money out for travel expenses. Is that going to create any problem? I have my regular pay check coming from my H1 company.

AC21 applies specifically to the time before you get GC. Even if you do use AC21, you should have the intention to stay with the employer you're with or the future employer (who submits an employment letter attesting they have a permanent job offer which is similar in scope in the LCA and I-140 petition) at the time of GC Approval.
The 90-day timeframe is sufficient to establish intent, as posted earlier.
